Hi Abhay,
As u would have come to know that I am of the same batch 83-84 to which Viveka belongs. He had mentioned before to me that there is a website of the college but finally i found some time to log on to the college website. As you know i am also a qualified Ophthalmologist & heading the Outreach services of Venu Eye Institute & Research Centre, New Delhi. I did my Masters from Ranchi & since last seven yrs I am working in Venu. The golden days during college have gone & it use to be great fun as you did’nt have any responsibility during those days. Time has changed & ever since I left college in 91 I could’nt visit the college for some or the other reason. There are quite a few seniors & juniors who are working in & around Gaya. Just to name a few like the great Das boss one of the all time faviorite senior, Dr Anand, Dr Bhadani, Devesh etc. The kala sangam had one of the popular singers in the name of Vivekanand Singh who used to sing Kishor Kumar songs which were quite faviorite among girls during that time. Also Das boss who used to sing popular Hemant Kumar songs.
But the time went by & we did’nt realise. It has been so many years that we all could meet. Its nice to see the blog. I will be logging frequently unless when I am travelling as my job requires frequent travelling . May god bless you all for doing such a nice work. You can also put a log.on diary of old students( not by age; to be exact the Ex student) so that the interactions become more frequent. I had gone through orkut a few months ago & found Dr Abhay Simbha sir , but i did’nt get any acknowledgement & so never went to the site again but it has been a wonderful job & I hope the legacy will carry on. Most of our teachers might have retired by now like Dr A N Rai a great teacher & a role model during our time.Everybody was scared to face him but being an excellent teacher of Medicine & being so cooperative during your worst phase i.e during exams was actually the real charisma. I will just log out as the stories of those days wont end & these comments have been long. Again god bless you all for this wonderful job.
